Preliminary Engineering Notice
All calculators, algorithms, formulas, conversion factors, and informational guidelines published on EngiMetric are provided strictly for preliminary informational, educational, and conceptual planning purposes.
1. Professional Engineering Verification Required
Calculations generated by this platform do not constitute certified engineering advice, stamped architectural plans, or manufacturer performance warranties. Real-world engineering systems are subject to dynamic physical and chemical phenomena including, but not limited to:
- Specific chemical composition, ionic strength, pH, temperature, and foulant variability of process feed waters.
- Manufacturer-specific membrane aging, flux decline, compaction, and cleaning degradation.
- Detailed structural load combinations, wind/seismic forces, subsoil geotechnical conditions, and local building codes (e.g., ACI, AISC, Eurocodes, IBC).
- Dynamic piping friction, transient water hammer, and pump NPSH (Net Positive Suction Head) requirements.
Before any engineering result from EngiMetric is applied to final equipment procurement, construction bidding, structural execution, or operational setpoints, it must be independently reviewed and stamped by a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E., Chartered Engineer, or qualified regional equivalent).
2. Membrane & Process Equipment Projections
Reverse osmosis and water treatment tools provide simplified steady-state mass and flow balances. Final membrane array design must be validated using manufacturer-proprietary projection software (such as DuPont WAVE, Hydranautics IMSDesign, Toray DS2, LG NanoH2O, or equivalent) and comprehensive water analysis testing.
3. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, EngiMetric, its contributors, authors, and operators disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. EngiMetric shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of the use, misuse, or reliance upon any calculation or tool provided on this website.
4. Reporting Formula Inconsistencies
