High-Pressure Pumps
Positive-displacement or centrifugal pumps that raise RO feed pressure from intake conditions to the operating pressure required to overcome osmotic pressure and membrane resistance.
Engineering Application
Main feed pumps for RO trains and interstage booster pumps. Hydraulic power depends on flow and developed head; motor efficiency and pump efficiency together set the electrical demand, and energy recovery devices offset part of the concentrate-side hydraulic energy.
Key Parameters
| Parameter | Unit |
|---|---|
| Discharge pressure | bar |
| Flow | m³/h |
| Pump efficiency | % |
| Hydraulic power | kW |
